03 · Output, quality & storage
Compression and conversion can change image quality, color, brightness, metadata, and file size. Results depend on the source, format, dimensions, quality settings, and device capabilities. PNG’s lossless encoding does not mean that resizing or conversion from another format leaves the image identical to the original. We do not promise a fixed size reduction, zero detail loss, or fixed processing time.
JPEG conversion gives transparent images a white background. All outputs are 8-bit sRGB still SDR images without HDR, depth, animation, or the full Live Photo presentation. Compare and inspect outputs before exporting, especially for print, professional imaging, or important files.
PicLean leaves source photos unchanged and exports new copies. Temporary photos can be removed at startup or through manual cleanup. Export and back up results you wish to retain. The app does not provide developer-managed cloud photo custody or server recovery.
